We’ve Arrived in the Dominican Republic! ✈️🇩🇴

Greetings from the DR!

Today was an exciting and full day for our group of students. After arriving in Santiago, where the airport was quite busy, we (the Program Coordinators) were waiting to welcome them.

We boarded the guagua (that’s what we call a bus here in the DR) and began our journey to the hotel in Constanza. The ride took a little over two hours and was filled with stunning mountain views, friendly conversation, and nice music.

We arrived did the checked in, assigned rooms, and enjoyed a quick snack to recharge before starting our seminars. We began with our Welcome Seminar, followed by the LDD Seminar (Leaders of the Day), where we met our first student leaders.

Dinner tonight was a traditional Dominican meal that everyone enjoyed, followed by a meeting with our Leaders of the Day, and then the Nightly Meeting Seminar and Nightly Meeting to close the evening.

Finally, we took some time to explore the villas and settle in for the night. Everyone is doing well, in great spirits, and looking forward to the adventures to come here in the Dominican Republic! 🌟
