Day 10 – Final Reflection

Hey everybody! This is Violeta and Jos

This morning, wake-up call was at 6:30 AM. Our breakfast consisted of omelets, holjaldras, and juice made from strawberries and pineapple.

After breakfast we did a quick health check-in with Danielle. We finished up around 8:00 AM, after which we went back upstairs to finish up packing. 8:30 AM marked the start of our reflectional seminar, which quickly became emotional; many tears were shed, and many memories were brought up. The leaders of the day led parts of the seminar, including the Big Love group shout outs (where people volunteered to share their love with the whole group), and the big love sheet (where we had 30 seconds to write Big Loves for people individually).

At 11:30 AM we had lunch, consisting of chicken, salad, and plantains. Post-lunch, we said our final ‘gracias’ to one of our main chefs, Ilda! Joselyn and Arianna also made Ilda a homemade bracelet to show their love and appreciation and gave it to her then.

Around 1 PM, we made it onto the bus and were on our way to Panama City!!! We made one quick stop at a rest-stop to use the restroom and get some extra snacks. We also had our final evaluations on the bus, which were done on the PC’s phones.

Finally, at around 6:30 PM, we arrived at the Ojos Del Rio Hotel in Panama City! We got settled into our rooms and ate chicken wings with fries for dinner at 7 PM. We will have an early wakeup call tomorrow at 5:30 AM before making our way over to the airport! See you all soon! <3
