Cost shouldn’t be a barrier to travel
We believe that travel is one of the most powerful forms of education and should be accessible to all high school students regardless of their socioeconomic status. Yet, one of the biggest barriers to travel is the cost. That’s why we operate on a sliding-fee scale. Through the generous support of donors and partners, we are the only youth travel program that makes need-based scholarships available to every eligible student in our program. Over 80% of our students are awarded scholarships each year.
We Travel Thoughtfully
Our goal is to provide both affordable and excellent experiences for our students. Driven by eight differentiating features, our award-winning programs are thoughtfully designed to maximize learning and adhere to the highest standards of educational travel, leadership development and safety.

Need-Based Scholarships for all eligible students
Eligible students can receive up to a $4000 travel scholarship!
Scholarships are awarded on a sliding scale based on family income, dependents in the home, and the free and reduced lunch percentage at your school.
To be eligible to apply for a scholarship a student must be a junior at one of our partner high schools and be nominated by a teacher, alumni ambassador or administrator at their school. Nominations are based on demonstrated leadership, community involvement, and eagerness to explore the world with an open-mind. Global Glimpse accepts 10-30 students per school each year and close to 1000 students each year.
Motivated students from non-partner high schools may also apply to join a Global Glimpse program as an independent student, but are not eligible for a scholarship.
Curious if you attend one of our partner schools, check out the How To Apply page for a list of our current partner schools in each region.
Even though you are not eligible for a scholarship, the program is still more affordable than other travel companies and we support you with fundraising tools and guidance.
Every year we have amazing students participate in Global Glimpse who are not from our partner high schools. If you do not attend one of our Partner High Schools or are not in one of our Partner Organization Programs and are interested in participating in Global Glimpse, please go to the How To Apply page and fill out an Application Interest Form and our staff will support you through next steps.
Also, many independent students partner with a teacher at their school and apply to be a Global Glimpse partner school to unlock scholarships for them and their classmates! If you’re interested in bringing Global Glimpse to your school contact us!
Students apply for their scholarship as one part of their overall application. Once you are nominated you will receive a link to start your online application. If you haven’t been nominated and would like to apply please fill out our Application Interest form on our How to Apply page.
In order to be considered for a need-based scholarship, you must submit a copy of your family’s 1040 tax form. This form must clearly include the student’s full name in the dependent section of the form, the number of dependents in the household, and the gross adjusted family income. To view an example of the required form, please click here.
If your family’s 1040 tax form is not available, you may submit TWO of the following documents for scholarship consideration:
- A letter indicating that you or your family is receiving government aid
- Free and reduced lunch letter from your school
- Your parents’ pay stubs from the past three months
Once you complete the scholarship portion of the online application you will be able to know what your estimated scholarship award will be. This amount is not verified until you submit all of your income verification forms and then you will get a final scholarship amount upon your acceptance to the program in December.
Scholarships are awarded based on a set of criteria that factors in a family household income, dependents in the home and the free & reduced lunch percentage at your school.
