About Global Glimpse

We are on a mission to make transformative travel possible for high school students from all socioeconomic backgrounds.

We believe that travel is one of the most powerful forms of education. We envision a world where every young person can say “I travel.”

“I Travel…”

Travel, when done thoughtfully, can positively change the trajectory of a young person’s life. Yet, for far too long the powerful lessons of travel have been inaccessible for the majority of young people in the United States.

Since our founding in 2008, Global Glimpse has been the only nonprofit committed to making powerful international travel experiences accessible to high school students from ALL socioeconomic backgrounds through school partnerships and substantial need-based scholarships.

We have served over 9,000 students and teachers and provided $17M to make travel possible for students from 100 high schools across the United States. We were named 2023’s Top High School Travel Provider by GoOverseas.com.

A Letter From Our CEO

Dear Global Glimpse Community,

I am overjoyed that you are considering joining us on this journey in some capacity. My own passion for travel and the tremendous potential it unlocks led me to help launch Global Glimpse more than 15 years ago when I was 23 years old. And to this day, I continue to travel to reframe my story. I travel to remind myself how simultaneously unimportant and powerful I am in this impossible, beautiful world. I travel to bring people from very different walks of life together. I travel to learn, to grow, taking every opportunity, in my own humble way, to raise my children and the next generation as global citizens.

I see shared experience as critical to creating a better world for everyone. I launched Global Glimpse because I saw no acknowledgement of the importance of equity and diversity in travel – especially not at the high school level. For more affluent families, travel is viewed as a critical part of a child’s education, an invaluable tool for personal development, and one of the most joyful and rewarding parts of life. For everyone else, travel is considered an inaccessible luxury. Valuing experiences for some and not for others is fundamentally wrong.

Imagine what our world would look like if every young person had access to the powerful lessons of travel. We would see more present high school students with stronger awareness and greater commitment to academics and community. Empathetic college students who are equipped to think critically about the issues facing their campuses. Passionate young professionals who rise to leadership roles with a crucial understanding of global issues. Engaged community members who seek meaningful connection and mentor the next generation of global citizens.

We are doing something truly special at Global Glimpse and we would love for you to join us to help make travel a part of every high school student’s education.

Sincerely,

Eliza Pesuit, Founding CEO
