A Whole lotta things to put in a title

Glimpsers getting fancy at a restaurant

We woke up to the pouring rain in the comfort of our beds. At 8:30, our wonderful chef, Diego, served breakfast. Right after, a private bus picked us up and took us to downtown Turrialba. On the way, we saw a sloth, one of the most resilient creatures on the planet.

We returned to the thrift shop and made a quick stop at a beauty supply store. We picked out outfits for dinner later that night.

Sustainable cheese farm

We visited Finca La Florita, where the owner, Karla, showed us how to make cheese and how they practice sustainability. A couple of us got to milk a cow. Anaysha and Ruby volunteered to make and mold the cheese. Karla discussed her farm and a closed-loop system; she taught us to be mindful of what we buy and that every product has a story behind it.

As leaders of the day, we had a lot of fun and faced challenges along the way. Since we are almost at the end of our trip, we have both established strong friendships with everyone, so finding the line between friendship and leadership was a little difficult. Overall, we had an amazing, jam-packed trip today, and we hope that looking at the pictures was even the tiniest bit of fun for you, as it was for us!

With SO much love, Lideres del Dia.

Luma and Anisa (we miss our families a lot and can’t wait to see youu guys. If I knew how to put a heart emoji here, I would!)
