second day: welcome to turrialba

hello everyone! Today we had a great day (almost didn’t rain!). We started having for breakfast typical gallo pinto (rice and beans), eggs and Turrialba cheese. Then we spent the day learning a bit more about our program: rules, expectations, empathy, Global Glimpse values (3Cs), etc. We did some group activities so we had the opportunity to talk with new people and make some friends. During the free time we played cards and jenga.
The highlight of the day was going to the “pulpería” (convenience store) to get snacks! The view on the walk there is stunning!!
Finally, we met our first LDD (líderes del día – liders of the day), they showed their talent in order to get the torch.
We are very excited about tomorrow’s day! We gonna have the opportunity to know local people! Stay tuned!!
