INTRODUCTION: KRISTY BRITO (GGL)

Hola Global Glimpsers and Familias!

My name is Kristy Brito and I am one of your GGLs for our trip to Constanza, Dominican Republican 2025! I am incredibly excited to meet all the glimpsers and begin this amazing adventure together.

Before embarking this journey together, I wanted to share a little bit about myself.

I am a 31 year old, Dominican York from the Bronx. I am proud to say I am Dominican and love my culture from the food, music, and the way we talk. (Can’t wait for you all to have a taste of the Dominican culture.) For fun, I love being outdoors, whether that’s hiking with my Goldendoodle Nina or exploring new food spots with my husband in New York. I also enjoy learning about different cultures through food, music, and connecting with people. In my downtime, I’m a big fan of reading and binge watching great sitcoms.

I have been the Parent Coordinator at Middle College High School for a little over four years. As Parent Coordinator, I ensure to work alongside parents and school community to build a strong partnership that support student’s academic success. Throughout our trip experience, I will come in with the same open communication and collaborative spirit.

While this may be my first rodeo with Global Glimpse, it is not my first time traveling to an international country with young adults. I was fortunate to travel along with Middle College High School travel program to the Dominican Republic in 2023. Traveling with young adults provided me the opportunity to not only guide and mentor them but also see firsthand the challenges and joys of travel and how much growth can occur when young adults are exposed to new environments and cultures. I am looking forward to seeing all of you develop your own global perspective of the world and seeing you step out of your comfort zones and grow personally and as leaders.

I am super grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to create lasting memories together!
