Hello Global Glimpsers!!

We are your Program Coordinators—Zarai and Kenia—and we are so excited to welcome you soon to beautiful Panamá!

The countdown is almost over, and soon we’ll be together in a country filled with incredible people, vibrant culture, and endless opportunities to learn and grow. We can’t wait to share this unforgettable journey with all of you.

But first, let us introduce ourselves a bit more!

My name is Zarai Guañuna, I was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador.  A country also known as the “land of the four worlds” and one of the most diverse corners of the planet. As a returner. I am thrilled to be your program coordinator for this summer journey. Over the past six years, I had the opportunity to pursue my bachelor’s degree in International Relations in South Korea, an experience that opened my eyes to the world in countless ways and helped define who I am. During my academic journey at my alma mater I developed a strong passion for the role youth play in shaping a more sustainable future, which led me to join Global Glimpse. I love spending time outdoors and enjoy hiking, jogging, and exploring nature. I also love traveling, experiencing new cultures and connecting with people from around the world. 

I’m Kenia Gonzalez  proudly from Nicaragua, from the northern part of the country where we produce one of the most delicious coffee. I am from Matagalpa called “La Perla del Septentrion”. I am a teacher. I teach  English for kids, teenagers and adults and I have a deep love for teaching, reading, learning and sharing knowledge. In my free time, I enjoy photography, music, cooking, and singing—my greatest passion. Singing gives me the  opportunity to share with others my gratitude to God. The three greatest values that  are carried in my baggage are love, empathy and compassion. I love to learn about new cultures and traditions from other countries and share the culture of my beautiful country as well. This will be my first time with Global Glimpse, and I couldn’t be more excited to meet all of you! So let’s start, have fun and smile.

Together, we are committed to providing you with an experience in Panama that is not only fun and adventurous but also meaningful and impactful. We can’t wait to meet you and begin a journey you’ll remember for the rest of your life.
