Day 10 – Final Reflection

Heyy guys welcome to Global Glimpse day 6, working like a localll!!!
Your leaders of today were Kamilahhh and Samantha!
We started our day bright and early. We woke up at 6:30am and prepared for a 7:30 breakfast consisting of Panamanian style chicken sausages, fried eggs, Panamanian tortillas and a traditional Panamanian fried bread with papaya/guava juice. Yum!
We then took a trip to an agrotouristic farm known as Capri Dovi where we took a tour around the property. We explored (and tried!) the produce that is grown on the farm which included raspberries, fresh sweet pepper, mint, starfruit, nance, mango, spinach and many more! After we finished exploring the produce section of the farm we then met the animals! We fed goats and pet baby bunnies and of course, we met Shakira! (the horse)
At the end of our tour on the farm, we all sampled some fresh goat cheese and honey that was produced at the farm. We also bought of the some of the food and drink items sold at the farm.
Hey everyone, it’s Kamilah Here: after having an amazing time at the farm, we headed back to our hotel villa for lunch where we had spaghetti and meatballs, chicken with white sauce and rice, beans and salad and passion fruit juice.
After lunch we had free time where students were able to explore many different local stores in Las Tablas including cafes, clothing stores, an artisanal workshop store, etc. After exploring the town, we spend the rest of our free time in our villa pool where we played music and sing along karaoke and played frisbee and volleyball. Once free time was over students gathered to write a letter of appreciation seminar where each of us had to write a personal letter to someone who has supported the global glimpse program.
After that we had dinner where our wonderful chefs prepared chicken and veggies, rice, beans, salad and mango juice.
Today was a special day because it is our leadership coach LeShawn’s last full day here in Panama. So we celebrated him by surprising him with a lemon cake and a red velvet cake, gifts and a “big love shout out paper where all the students wrote LeShawn a personal messages. We will truly all miss our leader LeShawn. Coming to the end we had our annual nightly meeting we went over our question of the day which was ” If money didn’t exist what work would you still do for a living” and our quote of the day ” A brighter day does just happen you will have to work on a brighter day love often gets buried in hurt and fear” then me and Samantha shared 1 plus and 1 wish for the group and our leadership coaches shared 1 plus and 1 wish for us leaders than we pass our leadership torch to tomorrow’s leaders of the.

Hi Sam it’s Mariely I miss you so much bc you didn’t pick up ANY of my calls before you left but it’s fine ig. Anyways there’s a lot of stuff we have to fill you fill you in on when you get back with the Disney tea and I can’t wait for you reactions on it and thoughts but I hope you are being baddie and tanning because I haven’t been….
