Hello, families!
Today was the beginning of an exciting adventure here in the Dominican Republic, and we are so happy to officially welcome this wonderful group to the program!
Our students arrived safely and full of excitement. From the moment they got here, they were curious about what this experience would be like and eager to begin their journey together.
After settling into our accommodations, we welcomed everyone and introduced the program. We talked about what they can expect over the next few days, the importance of teamwork, respect, keeping an open mind, and making the most of every opportunity to learn and grow. The students were engaged, asked thoughtful questions, and showed great enthusiasm for everything that lies ahead.
One of today’s highlights was their first Dominican meal! They enjoyed delicious fried chicken with mashed potatoes and onions. It was a great opportunity to experience a little taste of Dominican cuisine, and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
As the day went on, students began getting to know one another, sharing conversations, and building new friendships. It was wonderful to see so much positive energy and excitement within the group.
This journey is about much more than visiting a new country. It is about learning from different cultures, serving local communities, growing as leaders, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
To all of our families, thank you for trusting us with your students. We are excited to share this journey with you through these daily blog updates and look forward to everything we will experience together over the coming days.
Day one is complete, and we can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
Warm regards.
Global Glimpse Team. 🫂

Hi Papi,
The ride back home after dropping you off at the airport hit hard; my Mateo ya no es un niño but a young man who’s growing up quick. I know you really wanted this adventure, and I hope you learn a lot and make the best of it. I love seeing how quickly you make friends; you definitely got that from me lol. Please be safe, eat well, drink lots of water, and make memories so when you get back we can have lots to talk about. PS: When I got out of work last night, my Uber wasn’t there. I’m going to fire him!!! Te amo, papi. Yes, your mother worries a lot!
