We hope you’re all doing well! Mauricio and Mateo here with the first update with the delegation in territory.
Today 20 Glimpsers, 3 interpreters of sign language and 2 Global Glimpse Leaders arrived safely into Tocumen (PTY) International airport in Panama! We welcomed them and then headed to the hotel Ojos del Rio, together with our driver Martin and his assistant Carlos, big love to them for transporting us safe.

After a quick introduction, we took the group to the hotel to settle in. We did the check-in, then everyone went to their rooms to save their suitcases. Shortly after, everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner of “Agliolo pasta with chicken and garlic bread”
Then, we held our first Nightly Meeting, where we went over tomorrow’s agenda: visiting the Panama Canal before hitting the road to Chitré. We closed with a Unity Clap and as a group we decided that our first word for it was “Support”.
We want to share with you all our quote of the day:
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” – Laozi, Chinese philosopher, founder of Taoism |
Another big love to our GGL’s Cindy and Sam that bringed the complete delegation safe and sound. Now everyone is having a well deserved rest, in our first night in Panama. And also for our sign language interpreters Andrea, Kelly and Luciano.
Starting tomorrow and for the whole trip, the LDD (Lideres del Dia-Leaders of the Day) will be sharing their experiences here in the blogs. We encourage you to read them, enjoy them and leave your comments below—we’ll make sure the students see them every day!
Wherever you are reading us from, you are already part of this fantastic adventure.
¡Abrazos gigantes! Giant hugs to you all!
