The Adventure Begins: CH1D Is Here!

There’s something special about arrival day. No matter how many Global Glimpse summers we’ve been a part of, it never gets old.

Today, we finally got to welcome CH1D to Panama! After a long day of travel, our students arrived tired but excited, ready to begin an experience that will hopefully stay with them long after they return home.

The first day is always full of little moments. Meeting face to face after only seeing names on a roster. Hearing everyone’s different stories. Watching students begin talking to people they had never met just a few hours before. You can almost feel the mix of excitement, curiosity, and nerves in the air, and that’s exactly how a new adventure should begin.

Over the next few weeks, this group will experience so much more than a new country. They’ll build friendships, challenge themselves, learn from our local communities, and discover strengths they may not even know they have yet.

To all of our families following along from home, thank you for trusting us with your students. They arrived safely, and we’re so excited to share this journey with you through these blog updates.

CH1D, we’re so happy you’re here. Let’s make this a summer to remember.
