TA1 Ready!

Hello Global Glimpsers and Families!

My name is Hong Ha Hoang, and I am one of your Global Glimpse Leaders (GGLs). I am SUPER excited to meet you all and can’t wait to get to know you and see how much you grow over the next 11 days!

This is my third trip with Global Glimpse! When I first heard about Global Glimpse, I wanted to join because I love traveling (I have traveled to 34 countries). However, the more I learned about this organization, the more I realized it’s a perfect fit for my values. Global Glimpse brings groups of students from different high schools together to travel with teachers the summer after their junior year. During our time abroad, we’ll explore history, culture, politics, poverty, education, development, and business in a developing country. I think it’s incredible that this program challenges students to think critically, collaborate with one another, and then bring their newfound perspectives back to their schools and communities.

In the past, I’ve traveled to the Dominican Republic and Panama with Global Glimpse, and I’m excited to visit a new country with Global Glimpse—Costa Rica—this time! I can’t wait to experience all that this beautiful country has to offer. Traveling allows me to immerse myself in different cultures and continually broadens my perspective. Aside from traveling, I love camping, playing escape rooms, video games, bowling, and event planning. I also have a Mini Goldendoodle named Baylee. By day, I’m the Activities Director and Leadership Teacher at Andrew P. Hill High School. I’m looking forward to bringing back everything I learn from this trip and sharing it with my students! I hope that you all learn from the stories of the people we meet and grow as leaders throughout this journey.

Excited for Costa Rica, Turrialba, and everything ahead!

Big Love,
Miss Hoang
