Gamarjoba (Hola) from Tamari and Chris, your amazing leaders of today.

The day started with the sound of an angel. ( – chris ) ” Don’t stop get it get it.” in order to wake up Tricia. The responses we received from everyone were fairly normal. ” Get out Chris ” – Ashley and “shh” – Melinda.
Afterwards, we ate a delicious breakfast from our lovely cooks, Ursula and Aurelia (our mother and grandmother ), which consisted of mashed potatoes, salami, fruits, cereal, fried eggs and cheese. As we called over the leaders of tomorrow in preparation for their upcoming difficult day, we wished them the best of luck. After the breakfast we got ready to leave for CAP Day 2. Though the shovels were already in our favorite vehicle (the open truck), we still had to bring over 3 botteloness and gloves to get ready to work.

We got at the work site at 9:35:26 ( – Chris), where we found out that we would be replicating our work from yesterday as we were introduced to the owner, Negra. In preparation to not face the difficulties from CAP Day 1, we decided to split the group into 2 immediately. Taking charge and being confident in our work was very important for the next 3 hours. The mixing of the cement and sand was a very difficult process due to how sore we were from the day prior. But we were able to push through all the way till lunch. We then made our way back to the Rancho where our cooks made us yet another delicious meal, consisting of rice with corn and green beans inside, stewed pork, avocados, mixed vegetables and fruit.

After our lovely lunch, we got ready to get back to work at 2:00. Repeating the process once again, we brought water bottles to be refilled for the one hundredth times. Except this time, Melinda and Cloey stepped up to level the flooring. While putting in 110% of our efforts, the lovely home owner Negra brought us some yummy candies, not once but twice. The hours were long, having people “sleeping” on the job (you know who you are), but we pushed through. During breaks, some people even began to sing with Negra in the church.

After the long difficult hours of work, we headed back to the Rancho, where we would be taking a hour long break. We were in lines for our much needed showers and got ready for Dinner. For Dinner, we had Dominican style Alfredo pasta, bread, salad, fruits, and some ramen. As everyone enjoyed, Melinda and Evy would continue to work on their board for our upcoming nightly meeting.

Our nightly meeting opens with a longwinded description of the day from Chris, ending with our unity clap … “SWITCH”, … “UGH”. Two words that truly described today.
Saludos, Tamari y Chris.

Yowza! CAP Day 2… sweaty, tiresome day but you all thrived, outstanding work done by all of you. Kudos (well done) by such an amazing group. To experience this all and to boot, “singing in the Church with Negra”, what a day. Thanks for the great blog and awesome pictures. Looking forward to the next blog/pics!! Hi Shane xo
