Day 8 – CAP Day 2

Hola Familias,
Today we woke up in a hotel in Sosúa, and ate breakfast there. After that we had a long bus ride back to the villa. On the bus ride home we played lots of different genres of music. We made a pitstop at a stop at a rest stop where everyone was able to dive into trying local cultural foods. After we made it back to the villa at around 1:45, we ate lunch and quickly made our way to see where our CAP project will happen. We also learned that our CAP project will start Sunday and will be a 3 day long project. We met the person who will be receiving the home we are going to be working on due to the fact she lost her home to a tragic fire, and she lost everything while taking care of her special needs daughter.
After looking at our CAP destination we went to get ice cream! Everybody got to choose their own flavor and throughly enjoyed it. Lastly, we went to the grocery store and picked up more items for the villa. Although today was a shorter blog, and day, it just allowed for everyone to get closer with each long bus ride. Now we are looking forward to dinner, and of course our soon to be happening CAP project!
