Sophie Owens – Glimpser

Hi everyone! My name is Sophie and I am super excited to be traveling to Costa Rica with all of you! I have never been part of a service trip before, so this is going to be a new and hopefully extremely eye opening experience for me. I love to travel, I’ve been to 10 different countries (Costa Rica will be my 11th) and 20+ states throughout my life. My favorite place I’ve ever been to was Japan, and I highly recommend you go someday if you’ve never been, it is truly an incredible country! Some of my other hobbies include: playing soccer, running cross country and track, reading, writing, drawing, hanging out with friends, watching tv (some of my fav shows are: Stranger Things, Hacks, Schitt’s Creek, Demon Slayer, and Jujutsu Kaisen), hanging out with friends and family, and listening to music (I really like k-pop, some of my fav groups are: Blackpink, Enhypen, Stray Kids, and Ateez). I am also the owner of a very fat cat named Hagrid, and I love animals, so I’m excited to see all the wildlife in Turrialba. Overall I can’t wait to travel with everyone to Costa Rica, and I really hope I can make a lot of new friends and memories during this trip!
