At last it was the final CAP day of waking up at 4 AM! Today we went to a different location that was very much easier to plant the remainder of the sapplings. We had two dogs as companions throughout the journey. Our group split into three sectors, these included the waterfall, the hills, and the patches. We later found each other by the rivers and continued to work together to get the job done. Suprisely we had finished early (like yesterday) and Cesar, our organization guider, decided to give us a tour of the landscapes.

We were suprised to see ACTUAL spider monkeys and heard the growls of the puma, well at least some of us… As we finished up our tour in the forest, we met the owners of the land and they gave us a brief introduction. They were young, showing us that even we can make a big difference at our age.

We went to the same location as yesterday for lunch; the beach! Again spending our evening laying in the sand, running with the waves, and even got creative by playing baseball with a stick, using trash as a ball. Dayanna was so good, even though it was her first time! For our lunch we ate a delicious cuisine of rice & beans, chicken, and plantains. Sadly it was time to head back to the hotel. The ride back was filled with so many memories that also involved listening to music and singing our hearts out.
As we were on day 8 of this trip, we were now able to freely explore around the area of our hotel. One of which shopping for souveniers and another to practice volleyball for our tournament tommorow (So exciting!). During the afternoon, while were getting ready for another meeting, we heard the noises coming from the streets. This ended up being a festival parade. There were lines of cars beeping and fireworks popping, that drew the attentions of the town. It was something unexpected but something so beautiful.

We ended the night with lots of love spreading through dances. We knew our curfew was later than its’s been for our CAP days, so we used that time to dance and sing to loud music. 3 days left… were gonna miss times like this.

With Love,
Noa, Hannah, & Christina😊
