Sending big love to Panama! <3

Are you getting packed and ready to go? I can’t wait to meet my cohort in person and start our once in a lifetime adventures together.  These experiences will be a glue that binds us together despite our unique stories and diverse backgrounds. That’s just so cool!

So what can I tell you about me? I am a mom of two teenage boys and I have about 95 other kiddos (teenagers) that I love to see almost daily for a good part of the year.  Yes, I am a teacher.  And because I LOVE science so much, I get to bring this passion to my chemistry classroom! But don’t worry, all my chemistry puns Argon for the summer. Teaching is my second career though.  After graduating from UC Davis, I worked at a company that is considered the birthplace of biotechnology- yes, it is fascinating! One little known fact about me is that I used to drive a double trailer 18 wheel big rig and had some interesting adventures during this time. Things I enjoy doing most in life besides being a science nerd are spending time with my loved ones, gardening, dancing, and playing boardgames. In addition, I consider travel as an important part of my life.  My last two trips were to Vietnam over the winter break and Alaska last summer and I’m looking forward to the Philippines and Japan next year. This is my first time coleading with Global Glimpse. I can’t wait to meet our in country PCs. And I am really looking forward to getting to know, supporting and seeing my student team just shine this summer in Panama!
