Seeds with Sandra!

Hola Families and Friends,

Our names our Leo A. And Brianna and today we fulfilled the position of Liders del Día! We started off our day bright and early at 7:30 am, followed by a delicious breakfast prepared by our kind hostesses. Where we then traveled to the Azuero peninsula to meet the executive coordinator, Sandra, for the project that we will be participating in the next few days. She passionately shared her vision and mission for the future of sustainable and environmental development. After seeing the emotions conveyed by her and her presentation, she lit a fire in our hearts to strive to reach and surpass her goal. With this we will continue to spread the knowledge and curiosity in the subject for the rest of our lives as the problem of climate change continues to expand everyday. After speaking with Sandra, and sharing our gratitude, we returned to our hotel to continue to have fun by feasting in a prepared meal. After 4 days without our families we were able to contact our loved ones and share our experiences thus far, relieving any sense of homesickness shared by some. As we approach our first Community action project day we spent time being able to overview logistics and needs-to-be fulfilled before we set off to create change in our new home.

Hello everyone,

My name is Brianna and my experience as Lider del Día has been revolutionary. I started off this trip as a timid glimpser not recognizing every face I saw when I arrived at the airport. However as time passed I grew closer and closer to each of my group mates. Being the leader of the second day allowed me to grow a relationship with the other students to be able to mold my leadership with the accommodations and needs they had. As well as grow my leadership experience and set the bar higher for people to accomplish their highest potential. Being there for the rest of our group was my top priority. I approached this responsibility by being organized and having the initiative to pursue the needs of others. By leading group games and shared cheers we continued our safety protocols, having fun, and followed our schedule to accomplish our mission of the day which we had as to have a fun overview and design for the core of the program. To me, Lider del Dia has been a blessing by being able to truly see behind the scenes of a program I know will have an effect on me as I continue to pursue and achieve my goals, along my other Glimpsers. Thank you all for allowing be the privilege to serve you all as your Lider del Dia. Brianna signing out.

Hola me llamo Leo. Today I had the pleasure of being a Lider Del Día. This role was very beneficial for me as I had the chance to interact with everybody and build closer friendships with all my peers. The highlight of my day was meeting Sandra, the executive coordinator of the community action project we will be doing over the next couple of days. Her story of leaving behind a corporate job to pursue true passion, and purpose hit very deep for me. She lit a fire under me, and I am now truly prepared to take on whatever endeavors I may experience in the coming days.
