My name is Dimari Rodriguez, Im 17 years old born and raised in Chicago,IL. My enthicity is Dominican and Peurto Rican, which is a small reason im excited for this trip! I go to Pritzker College Prep in the Hermosa neighboorhood which is mainly were I grew up most of my life. When I heard about Global Glimpse it reminded me of a program I participated in called Summer of a Lifetime but had major differences that intrigued me, like instead of staying in the U.S, I’ll be leaving internationally the first time ever. Another reason why I wanted to do Global Glimpse was because of the oppurtunities this trip opens up, from responsibility to saftey awareness of others and yourself aswell. Something I look foward to is seeing how much of a difference it is living in the U.S to the Dominican Republic, I also look foward to meeting people I have no connections with and building friendships over time!
