Panama is around the corner!

This is your team from Chitre, Panama!

We are thrilled to have you join us on this adventure this summer- a journey full of learning and personal growth. We would like to introduce ourselves, first.

I’m Nadine Alejandra Narváez Tapia, proudly from Loja, Ecuador. I’m passionate about education, leadership, and exploring the world. I hold a degree in Educational Sciences and a Master’s degree in Education and Leadership. For the past six years, I have worked as both an English teacher and the coordinator of the English Department, experiences that have strengthened my passion for meaningful and experiential learning. I truly believe that learning becomes powerful when it happens through real experiences and human connections. Outside of education, I love traveling and discovering new places so much that I can even lose sleep just to keep exploring. I also enjoy hiking, spending time in nature with my pets, watching sunsets, feeling the breeze on my face, and trying different kinds of food, because I believe food is one of the best ways to understand a culture and its people. This will be my first time with Global Glimpse, and I couldn’t be more excited! I really hope it goes amazingly well, and I’m very excited to meet all of you, learn together, and share this incredible experience together.

My name is Larry Gomez, I will be the second PC, traveling with you for the next 11 days. I am from the Country of Nicaragua (North of Costa Rica!). This will be my third time traveling to Panama with Global Glimpse. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and experiencing the Panamanian Culture together. I enjoy running, hiking, reading, and listening to music. I have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. For many years, I worked with a non-profit organization receiving in Nicaragua high school groups from North Carolina. Later on, I had the opportunity to work and live in Iowa. Now, I am working towards my Masters Degree.

As our trip is around the corner! We hope that you are as excited as we are to have you here in Panama. Again, prepare yourself to get out of your comfort zone. We encourage you to be prepared to learn new things and immerse yourself in a new culture. This will be the trip that you will remember for years to come.

We will be seeing you very soon!

Best Regards,

Your PCs,

Nadine & Larry
