Hello, Glimpsers!
My name is Nataliya Chernikova (Natasha) and I will be accompanying you to Panama this July. I am a bilingual counselor at James Madison HS, and I chaperoned many trips over my 20-year career. Some were small, yet fun, some were extensive. Last year I had a fortune to travel to Jarabacoa, DR with wonderful GG students. Three years ago, I traveled to London and Paris with our school’s 36 students, and last two years I traveled to Southern states with a mix of students from South Brooklyn District. I love seeing/ experiencing new places and most of all I love sharing these new places with young people. I truly believe that learning through experience is essential and that everyone needs to see as much of the world as they can. Only by meeting new people can we understand others, only by opening our hearts and our minds, can we become fully human.
I’m looking forward to meeting everyone! We will live, learn, and grow together. I will be your teacher, and you will be mine.
