Nicole’s Introduction

Heyo! I’m Nicole. I go to Summit Tahoma High School and I am from San Jose, California. I am a Christian! Besides English, I can speak Cantonese, somewhat decent Mandarin, and some Spanish. In my free time, I play guitar (I can fingerpick Blackbird by the Beatles now, which I’m really happy about) and I read. I also journal a lot. Originally I started journaling because there was a sermon I wish I remembered that was about people-pleasing, and because I forget so easily I write to remember. When summer started I unintentionally started writing an exponentially increasing amount, and looking back on these journals has been encouraging.

What I am the most excited about for this trip is being able to make new friendships with you all and the people in Costa Rica (psst the secret to happiness is good relationships!). I’m hoping I will be able to get out of my comfort zone. Looking forward to the trip!
