Before our adventure officially begins, we want to introduce the two people who will be guiding, supporting, encouraging, and probably reminding everyone to drink water throughout this unforgettable journey: your Program Coordinators, Yadariselt and Angelita!
Meet Yadariselt 🎭🗽
Hi everyone! I’m Yadariselt Romano!
I’m a proud New Yorker who has been calling Panama home for the past three years. After graduating from college, I joined the Peace Corps, and that experience has shaped so much of who I am today. It deepened my love for service, cultural exchange, and building meaningful connections with people from different backgrounds.
Fun fact: I am actually a theatre kid! I attended a performing arts high school in New York City and did ballet since the age of two.
This is my very first summer as a Global Glimpse Program Coordinator, and I couldn’t be more excited to share this experience with all of you!
Meet Angelita 🌿🎶🇪🇨
And I’m Angelita, but you can also call me Angie!
I’m from Riobamba, Ecuador, and this is my third year with Global Glimpse. At this point, I’ve learned that every delegation is completely different, every day brings a new surprise, and we are continuously growing together.
My professional background is in ecotourism, socio-environmental studies, education, and community development. I’m passionate about learning from different cultures, supporting young people, protecting the environment, and creating spaces where everyone feels heard and included.
Fun facts about me: I’m very shy (at first), learning to play the piano, I love spending time in nature, and like finding creative ways to bring positive energy into a group. I also believe laughter can solve at least 50% of life’s problems. The other 50% can usually be improved with water, snacks, teamwork, and a good night’s sleep.
I’m excited to learn alongside you, hear your stories, share a little bit of Ecuadorian energy, and help you discover all the beauty, culture, and hospitality Panama has to offer.
