Hey CH1D!
Before our adventure officially begins, we wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves. We’re Yadariselt and Angelita, your Program Coordinators for this Global Glimpse journey through Panama.

Over the coming days, we’ll be here to support, encourage, and guide you as you explore a new culture, connect with local communities, take on new challenges, and experience everything Panama has to offer. We’ll also be there to celebrate the small victories, navigate the unexpected moments, and remind you to drink plenty of water along the way!
Meet Yadariselt
Hi everyone! I’m Yadariselt Romano.
I’m a proud New Yorker who has called Panama home for the past three years. After graduating from college, I joined the Peace Corps, an experience that deepened my passion for service, cultural exchange, and building meaningful connections across communities and cultures.
A little more about me: I’m also a lifelong theatre kid! I attended a performing arts high school in New York City and have been dancing ballet since I was two years old. So while I may be stepping into a new role as a Program Coordinator, creativity, performance, and storytelling have always been a big part of my life.
This is my first summer as a Global Glimpse Program Coordinator, and I’m incredibly excited to begin this journey with all of you. I’m looking forward to getting to know each of you, learning from your experiences, and watching you discover new things about yourselves and the world around you.
MEET ANGELITA
And I’m Angelita, but you can also call me Angie!
I’m originally from Riobamba, Ecuador, and this is my third year with Global Glimpse. One of the things I’ve come to appreciate most about this work is that every delegation is different. Each group brings its own energy, perspective, questions, experiences and every journey offers an opportunity for us to learn and grow together.
My professional background is in ecotourism, socio-environmental studies, education, and community development. I’m passionate about learning from different cultures, supporting young people, protecting the environment, and creating spaces where everyone feels welcomed, heard, and included.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature, I’m learning to play the piano, and I tend to be a little shy at first. I also believe that laughter can make almost any situation better. And when laughter isn’t enough, there’s always water, snacks, teamwork, and a good night’s sleep!
I’m excited to share some Ecuadorian energy with the group, learn from your stories and perspectives, and help you discover the people, traditions, landscapes, and communities that make Panama such a special place.
As your Program Coordinators, our goal is to help create an experience where you feel supported, challenged, welcomed, and inspired.
This journey will be about much more than visiting a new country. It will be an opportunity to step outside of your comfort zone, ask questions, listen to different perspectives, build new relationships, and reflect on your own role within a larger global community.
There will be exciting moments, unexpected moments, and probably a few moments when things don’t go exactly as planned. That’s all part of the adventure and we’ll be there to navigate it together.
We can’t wait to meet you, share plenty of laughs, learn alongside you, and create memories that will stay with us long after the journey ends.
So get ready to learn, connect, explore, and experience Panama.
¡Nos vemos pronto, CH1D!
With excitement,
Yadariselt & Angelita
Program Coordinators
