Looking foward to Panama!

Hello! I’m Sofia, and I’m 16, and I’ve just finished my junior year at Greenwich High School in CT. I’m so excited to join the Panama Trip and get to meet new people. I applied because I am eager to experience what it’s like to live in Panama and understand its people, culture, and contribute in a meaningful way. I am looking forward to hopefully making new friendships and slowly getting out of my comfort zone.

A little about me: I love getting to hang out with my friends, traveling anywhere, and going to the beach. I also love baking treats whenever I can, playing card games, volunteering in my community, and sometimes working part-time at my aunt’s bakery!

I am excited to learn more about the culture in Panama and being able to learn how everyday life is from people who are warm and welcoming. I believe this experience will help me grow personally and socially by learning from a new community and creating lasting bonds.
