¡Hola! I’m Denise Eachus, your Global Glimpse Leader (GGL), and I’m thrilled to be part of this incredible journey to Costa Rica with you!

As we prepare for our adventure to Turrialba, I’m filled with excitement and anticipation. Being part of the Global Glimpse team is such a privilege because of the unique and powerful experiences it offers young travelers. This program is about so much more than visiting a new country – it’s about building leadership skills, strengthening group collaboration, exploring diverse cultural perspectives, and gaining a deeper understanding of the history and communities we’ll encounter. Watching students grow as they step outside their comfort zones and develop a broader worldview is one of the most rewarding parts of this experience.
I’ve had the opportunity to travel to Mexico three times, including two summers spent fully immersed in the local cultures – experiences that deepened my love for language and learning about the interconnected cultures. I also had the joy of leading my Girl Scout troop on an unforgettable cruise to Alaska, where we explored glaciers and learned about the natural environment. Most recently, I co-led a 7-day school camping trip to Death Valley, where students pushed their limits and gained a new appreciation for the outdoors and its natural resources.

When I’m not traveling, you’ll likely find me camping, hiking, river rafting or playing field hockey – anything that gets me outside and active! I teach high school Spanish and coach Varsity Field Hockey, where I love inspiring students both in the classroom and on the field.
I can’t wait to get to know each of you, support your growth throughout this journey, and share in the unforgettable experience of discovering Costa Rica together.
Let’s get ready to learn, lead, and explore!
Mrs. Eachus
