Las tablas, here we come!!!

Hola Glimpsers,

My name is Lorena Cuevas. I am one of your Global Glimpse Leaders traveling to Las Tablas, Panamá. I am a California, Bay Area-born and raised High School Spanish teacher and dog mom who has a love for food and travel. I also love good coffee, all kinds of music (especially salsa, reggaeton and bachata) as well as hiking and being outdoors. I have lived in California all my life and traveled across most parts of México as a kid. As an adult, I have studied abroad via SJSU summer travel programs in the Yucatán Peninsula of México and in many regions of Cuba. I have also taken students on various trips to Spain, Italy, France and the Dominican Republic. I am super excited to visit yet another Spanish speaking country and experience all the beauty Panamá has to offer!

I became a GGL because I have a tremendous love and passion for developing and broadening my appreciation of various cultures while seeing students grow as they experience all that Global Glimpse has to offer. This is going to be a life-changing trip and I am so thrilled that you all get to experience this program with you. 

I cannot wait to meet you all this summer!
