Hey friends and family! It’s Miren and Jhianna, your Liders del Dia, and we’re going to tell you about our experience being the leaders of the day (Lider del Dia).
Unlike the other blogs you may have read about, our day was NOT a typical day for the Global Glimpse crew. We were passed the torch (the responsibility of being Leaders) last night at the beautiful Piergiorgio Palace Hotel built on a cliff over the sea in Sosua… but some of the agenda didn’t go as planned. We started our day with a delicious breakfast at our hotel before taking a three hour bus ride back to our home base in Jarabacoa. Once we got back, we discovered that our agenda would be changed quite a few times spontaneously. To accommodate these changes, we did our best to keep our group at bay with games like Mafia and chill vibes. We even got to end our night with an hour of karaoke.
Today as leader of the day, I (Jhianna), was surprised to see how loud I was and how good I was at commanding the attention of others. I have to say, before I assumed the role of Lider Del Dia, I was a bit nervous, but it came surprisingly easy, especially with my partner by my side. Special shout out to my Co-leader (and roommate), Miren, for stepping out of her comfort zone because I could NOT have done this day by myself. I learned that i have what it takes to be a great leader!
Miren here! Shout out to Jhianna for being a great co-leader! Hello to my parents and sister!!
While not as jam packed and eventful as the other days, it was still a great day to bond with each other and have a lot of fun!

This is Miren’s mom. Great to hear you two had a successful day of being Liders del Dia, even though you faced some adversity and had to improvise. I’m very curious about what had been planned and what changed. It’s harder to lead when plans are shifting and you don’t know what to expect. It sounds like you did a good job of keeping the group’s spirits up with fun activities. I can’t wait to hear more about it. Great teamwork, Jhianna and Miren!
