Hi, my name is Jescenia Ramirez and I’m set to travel to Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic next month in July! I’m incredibly excited and here’s a bit about myself. I am the first-born child of Mexican immigrants but born in the United States. I go to Summit Public Schools: Tamalpais in the Bay Area, specifically 30 minutes from San Fransisco since I know that when people think of the Bay Area they usually think about SF. I love listening to music and reading and I’m hoping to be able to read a lot more on this trip without the distraction of personal electronics. I’ve also gotten really into watching movies recently and enjoy watching A24 movies specifically. I’m looking forward in seeing the cultural differences between Mexico and the Dominican Republic, as well as working with the community there. I’m also very excited to make new friends and connect with new people from different places in the United States as well as DR. This picture is from a few months ago but my face hasn’t changed too much lol :p
