Hello, family and friends!
Thank you so much for following along and taking the time to read our blog.
We love sharing this adventure with all of you!
Our day started bright and early with a delicious and very traditional Panamanian breakfast; we enjoyed tortillas, ojaldres, fried yuca, eggs, and omelets—a great way to begin the day!
After breakfast, we headed straight to the incredible Panama Canal.
It was amazing to watch a huge cargo ship filled with enormous shipping containers pass through the locks.
We also watched the Panama Canal movie, where we learned about the history, engineering, and the incredible work that keeps this world-famous canal running every day.
Next, we continued our journey to our new home away from home, Hotel Piamonte in Las Tablas, once we arrived, we received lots of information about our schedule and all the exciting activities waiting for us over the next few days.
This adventure is just getting started, and we can’t wait to keep sharing every moment with you!
We also read all of your comments on the blog, and they truly made everyone’s day. The students were so excited and happy to read your kind words and to feel all the love and support from home.
They definitely know how much they are missed!
Be sure to keep following our blog and our stories.
Tomorrow, our first Leaders of the Day, Eleonor and Yousif, will be sharing all the highlights from Day 3.
See you tomorrow, and thank you for being part of this journey with us!
With love,
LT2D

🚨 POV: You woke up in Panama and today is about to be a movie. 🎬🌴
Today’s checklist:
✨ Main character energy only.
📸 Get the pics… but also touch grass.
🌊 Stay hydrated (yes, water counts).
🌞 Sunscreen isn’t optional unless your goal is “lobster aesthetic.” 🦞
👀 Stay with the group. We are NOT filming Lost: Panama Edition.
Remember:
* If you see a sloth… don’t adopt it.
* If the food looks questionable… ask first, post later.
Now go make memories, collect core moments, and don’t do anything that ends with, “…so funny story…” 🤝🇵🇦
W trip. W people. Let’s cook. 🔥
Love you Ainsleigh ❤️❤️❤️❤️
