It’s never too late if the outcome is good

Hey there families and friends!

We hope you’re all doing well! Mauricio and Mateo here with the first update with the delegation in territory.

Today 22 Glimpsers and 2 Global Glimpse Leaders arrived safely into Tocumen (PTY) International airport in Panama! We welcomed them and then headed to the hotel Ojos del Rio, together with our driver Ronaldo and his assistant Henry, big love to them for transporting us safe.

Due to the weather conditions, our delegation’s flight was delayed by around 5 hours. But the most important thing is the certainty of knowing they waited as long as necessary to arrive here safe. We want to acknowledge the group high ability to adapt to the situation, as despite being tired, they arrived in very good spirits and organized.

After a quick introduction in the airport, we took the group to the hotel to settle in. We did the check-in, then everyone went to their rooms to save their suitcases. Shortly after, everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner of burger and fries, with the hope that this food has comforted everyone after the journey.

Given the very particular situation, the nightly meeting was held in its most simplified version, explaining the basic care to keep in mind and informing that the wake-up call will be a little later than planned, considering the well-being and health of the group.

Another big love to our GGL’s Rachel and Patrick that bringed the complete delegation safe and sound. Now everyone is having a well deserved rest, in our first night in Panama.

Starting tomorrow and for the whole trip, the LDD (Lideres del Dia-Leaders of the Day) will be sharing their experiences here in the blogs. We encourage you to read them, enjoy them and leave your comments below—we’ll make sure the students see them every day!

Wherever you are reading us from, you are already part of this fantastic adventure.

¡Abrazos gigantes! Giant hugs to you all!

—Mauricio & Mateo (M&M)
