Introduction

Hello students (and families)! My name is Michelle Franks and I am one of your co-leaders for your trip to Panama this summer!  I am super excited for this trip and really look forward to getting to know all of you!

A little bit about me- I live in NY outside of NYC and have been working in schools and with teens for around 30 years!  I have been in the Greenwich public schools in Greenwich, CT for the past 14 years and am currently a social worker at Greenwich High School.  I have also had some administrative roles over the years and just really love working with students, teachers, and families in the framework of the school setting.  

In my personal life I am married and have two amazing young adult daughters and an equally amazing dog 🙂 I love to travel, be outdoors, and am currently training for the NYC marathon next fall!  

I truly believe in the importance of learning from a global perspective and experiencing different cultures and customs, so this trip is really special to me and I am so excited to experience it with all of you!
