Introducing Me!

Hello Global Glimpsers and families! My name is Jeske Glenn (she/her) and I am one of your Global Glimpse Leaders (GGLs). I am so excited to meet all of you during our trip together!

This will be my second year with Global Glimpse and my first trip! I loved hearing from my traveling students last year about the impactful experience their trip had & decided it was time to see for myself what a GG trip is all about! I love traveling and have traveled with family, and friends, and solo to roughly 15 countries I even lived abroad in Barcelona for a few months after college. Currently, I am writing this blog post from Sydney, Australia where I am traveling for a conference.

Growing up in California, I love the beach, hiking, and other outdoor activities, and am very excited about all the nature we will experience together in Costa Rica. I also love sports – growing up I played soccer, and lacrosse, & cheered but in my adult life have joined a rec league for sand volleyball and have grown to love it (despite being vertically challenged). I attended two Pac12 schools for college and grad school so I follow other college sports like football and basketball. Go Card and sco Ducks!

I teach math and computer science at Fremont High School in Sunnyvale and I cannot wait to bring back what I learned from our trip and from you all and share it with my students.
