Hola from your pcs!

Hello there! We’re thrilled about the opportunity to meet each of you this summer. We can’t wait to spend eleven unforgettable days together, surrounded by the mountains of Constanza in the DR! 

We are your future Program Coordinators, also known as PCs, and here’s a little bit about each of us:

I’m Yocabelis Peña, from the Dominican Republic, and I’m currently studying Medicine. I consider myself a curious and creative person who is always open to learning new things and experiencing new opportunities. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, learning about different cultures, and connecting with people from different places.

In my free time, I like going out, having conversations, listening to music, and enjoying peaceful places, especially near the sea and the ocean. I also truly enjoy community and social work because I know the positive impact it can have both on the communities and on the students who come from the United States. Being able to share cultures, experiences, and help others is something I genuinely value.

Every experience has helped me grow, become more empathetic, and see life from different perspectives, and I always try to give my best in everything I do.

I’m Camila, and I’m from Argentina. I’m passionate about travel, languages, and meeting people from all over the world. Over the years, I’ve explored different countries as a slow traveler, which basically means I love taking my time to discover places beyond the typical tourist spots. 

I enjoy reading, writing, trying local food, learning about different cultures, and finding new adventures wherever I go. I’m also passionate about volunteering and giving back to the communities I visit.

One of my favorite things about traveling is hearing people’s stories and learning from their experiences. I believe everyone has something unique to share, and I can’t wait to get to know each of you.
