Heyling & Paco introductions (panama Pcs lt1)

We are your Program Coordinators—Paco & Heyling—and we are so excited to welcome you soon to this wonderful country,  Panamá!

The countdown is almost over, and soon we’ll be together in a country filled with incredible people, vibrant culture, and endless opportunities to learn and grow. We can’t wait to share this unforgettable journey with all of you.

But first, let us introduce ourselves a bit more.

Hey everyone! I’m Paco Romero—a graphic designer with a deep love for photography, 3D art, music, illustration, and all creative things. For over 7 years, I’ve also been teaching English in private institutions and universities in my hometown, Riobamba, Ecuador. In 2020, I pursued one of my biggest dreams—living in Europe—by studying English in Malta. Unfortunately, the pandemic cut that adventure short. But in 2021, I began a master’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, which helped me grow even more as an educator.

Beyond the classroom, I’ve worked as an interpreter with KOICA, a Korean international cooperation agency, which allowed me to connect with people across cultures and languages. I’ve also been proud to be part of Global Glimpse in 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023 —and last year (2024), I joined the program in Panama for the first time! Now, I’m thrilled to be back here once again, doing a job I truly love.

Hi everyone! My name is Heyling Chavarría, and along with Paco, I will be your Program Coordinator here in Las Tablas 1. I am originally from Nicaragua, and I am excited to be working with GG for the first time.  

I am an experienced English as a Second Language teacher with over six years of teaching. I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults, adapting my approach to suit different learning styles. Additionally, I have collaborated with NGOs in Nicaragua, contributing to educational initiatives that empower communities, young women and local sustainable development. I love photography, music, reading books, playing volleyball and teaching English.
