My name is Erika, and I am thrilled to be joining Nathan and all of you on our journey to Turrialba, Costa Rica! I am a special education teacher at Mt. Eden High School in Hayward. I have been teaching in their counseling enriched classroom for 7 years now. As an educator, I value lifelong learning, and what better way to do that than to travel the world and immerse yourself in different cultures. This will be my 3rd trip with Global Glimpse, I have had the privilege of traveling to Ecuador and la Republica Dominicana on my previous trips. I know for some of you this will be your first international trip, I feel honored to be able to witness and support you through the process! When I am not traveling or teaching, I love to dance, hike, go to the beach, and play fetch with my goldendoodle, Bambi. I am looking forward to meeting you all in person at the SFO airport this Sunday, June 15th at 8:35pm.
