Hello Glimspers! Lets Go to Panama!

Hey glimpsers and families! My name is Iris Munoz and I will be one of your Global Glimpse Leaders (GGL’s) along with Brian P. for our upcoming trip to Las Tablas, Panama!

Im super excited to meet you all, create life-long memories and experience a new country together! Just so you can get to know me better: I am a Program Coordinator and the Arts Facilitator at the Oyate Group, a non-profit organization in the South BX! I grew up and live in Jamaica, Queens but my family is Guatemalan and Surinamese.

I am passionate about youth development and social justice art education, but aside from my work, I am also a self-taught multimedia artist. I paint, draw, work with clay, do film photography and own my jewerly business! You’ll definitely be seeing my film camera and sketchbook everywhere we go!

Along with my million hobbies, I love to travel and learn about new cultures. I have visited most of the East Coast, Guatemala, Suriname, Belize, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, but I am most excited to visit Panama! I wouldn’t say I’m an experienced traveler but I truly hope to be a shoulder you can lean on during this trip. It is my priority to make sure you’re getting the most out of your trip while feeling your best self!
