Hello from your GGL: LOLITA GO!

Hello Glimpsers and families!

My name is Lolita Go, I will be one of the GG leaders for our trip this July 2026. This will be my 2nd time leading a Global Glimpse trip and 3rd year total with GG. My first trip with to Costa Rica in 2024! That was when I completely fell in love with the program and the mission of Global Glimpse. I’m thrilled to lead this 2nd trip with you all this summer.

I am a Biology and Anatomy teacher at Da Vinci Communications High School in El Segundo but grew up in Los Angeles and the Philippines for most of my life. I didn’t become an outdoor enthusiast until I went to college at Cal Poly Humboldt in 2016-2020. During and after college, I fell in love with the outdoors and nature through camping, hiking, and backpacking.

Some fun odd facts about me are that I’m terrified of roaches, I think most birds are freaky and scary, I have 2 cats, I have 7 siblings, I like soggy cereals, and I think pineapple on pizza should have never been a thing. Mint and chocolate are not good together, but chicken nuggets dipped in ice cream are. A few of my hobbies include hiking, roadtripping, being a foodie, playing the guitar/piano, and rock climbing (still new, need to conquer more V2s and V3s).

I fell in love with travel, nature, and community service, which is why I’m so excited to do all of the above with the upcoming generation of young adults, together! My biggest hope for our students in this cohort is that they will learn to love the joy of serving others above themselves and that they will become better, kinder humans after our trip. I’m ready to be humbled through our experience together, I can’t wait!
