HELLO EVERYONE!

My name is Nathan Sprovieri, and I will be one of your Global Glimpse Leaders (GGLs) on our upcoming trip to Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic! I am incredibly excited to travel with each of you this June, for a total of 11 days. This will be my second summer traveling with Global Glimpse. I am confident that we will all have an amazing experience together!

A little bit about me: I teach high school Chemistry at Alpha Cindy Avitia High School. I also coach the cross-country and track and field teams at our school. Our school has a hiking club, and every few weeks, I bring a group of students around and explore different locations in the Bay Area on hiking trips. When I’m not hiking, coaching, or teaching, I enjoy biking, running, and practicing yoga. I’m also a huge fan of The Weeknd, and I was lucky enough to see him in concert in Chicago last year with my siblings!

Although I was not able to travel with Global Glimpse as a student, I traveled to Lima, Peru as a student, back in 2019 during college for a similar experience. That trip was life-changing for me. The friends I met on that trip became some of my closest friends, and we still keep in touch today!
