Glimpse with Mateo Escobedo

Hi Everyone! My name is Mateo Damian Escobedo Ramirez and I’m currently a student at Andrew P. Hill High school in the Bay Area.

I’m from San Jose , CA, and this is probably my 11th time traveling out of the country. Some things I enjoy is sleeping, my cat Merlín, playing video games, and driving whenever I get to use my moms car. My favorite video game is overwatch (friend me on the game if you play). I also really love music and usually I have periods of hyper fixations on certain songs. Right now I’m fixated on Spanish pop music and 2016 music. I’m looking forward to try the new food that I never tasted before!

I applied to this specific trip because I wanted to learn more on the topic of migration. I feel in our current time people generally are misinformed about migration causing false information to spread about it. As an activist I want to be able to inform people about what migration really is and why people do it. I believe this trip will help me answer that.
