To start the day off, we woke up all the glimpsers at 7:00 AM sharp to give everyone an hour to get ready for breakfast at 8:00 AM. We had a delicious breakfast that consisted of pancakes, cut fruit, and the choice of either tea or coffee. After this, us leaders read our question and quote of the day and reminded the delegation to prepare for the day we had ahead of us. Right after our mental warmup, we got our big five. swimming clothes, a towel, and anything else we thought was necessary for the hike and waterfall we were heading to. Once our bus arrived, we were met by our driver, Leo, who drove us through San Antonio, a little town connecting Turrialba and our destination.

Once we arrived the start of the Las Trillizas hike and waterfall, we were greeted by horses, dogs, pets, cows, and a thick layer of fog. The hike to the waterfall was downhill, surrounded by bugs, bamboo, and birds chirping. It was about twenty minutes until the sight, but it was well worth it. Immediately me and many other of my peers began to take pictures and set our belongings aside so we an get into the water as quick as possible. The water was very cold, but at the same time so freshening that it was hard to get out after you got in. Once the rest of the group caught up, we started a game of volleyball, but in the water. After a while we were able to get our GGL instructors in the water, and we raced them across the pool of water. Shortly after this, it began to rain, so we got out of the water and got ready for our hike back up the hill. When some of the people finished, a small group of us went on a short trail to see another view of the waterfall, which was arguably even nicer than the first spot. After this, we all reunited on the main trail back up to the entrance. This time, it began to rain, so the hike was a little bit more difficult and some people were even slipping, but we got ourselves through it. Everyone who got into the water went into the changing rooms at the entrance and got into dry clothes and got prepared for lunch. We ate at the entarance which is also a restaurant, Restaurante Las Trillizas. Everyone had a traditional Costa Rican dish, but most people decided to get a dish with chicken. After everyone ate, we had arroz con leche and cajetas for desert. right as we were leaving, we took a group photo, said our goodbyes, and got on the bus to go back to base. -Travis
During the ride back on the bus we were able to listen to music and calm down after the hard day that everyone had. Even listening to music on the ride back to the site, as we got off we made sure that everyone had got there things and made sure that everyone was present even thanking the bus deriver Leo. After leaving and saying goodbye to the driver and thanking him everyone had about two hours of down time and many went to take showers some hung out in neutral areas and even working on some private projects. during the time of the break there were monopoly games going, card games going, some sleeping, showing, and others even figuring out what they wanted to do for the free time. After everyone had got some rest and done things that they needed to do like getting there laundry we began to get ready for the guest speaker.

Fofo the guest speaker was very kind coming on time where the group needed some assistance in getting ready for the meeting with Fofo because many were still getting dressed and some even were still asleep. After getting everyone together to meet with Fofo at 3:00PM we listened and learned many things from about the Environmental Justice and many of the steps and the difficulties with the trials that many of the environmentalist need to deal with. Some of the things that are difficult would be getting enough recognition and being shut out by many of the big corporations, other things that are difficult with the environmentalist are the differing laws in the areas for different countries. Each of these aspect make it difficult for the more eco-friendly. To experience the topic and learn more we went into the game were there was three groups government, company, and the people. getting a hands on experience of how the three should be interacting make people begin to question things.

After the meeting with Fofo we had dinner of stuffed pasta with meat and tuna along with steamed vegetables and potatoes. Having had dinner we began with the nightly meeting and we started to talk about the day as a recap answer the question and quote. After passing the torch the jobs for the LDD is not over where then at 8:00PM we began the karaoke and continued to have fun all through the night. -Christian Caballero
