Fun Day

Hello everyone,

Today us Glimpsers spent our last full day in Chitré, Panama during which we ended up going to a resort called Lago Dorado. Over there, many activities were present, for example, a pool, a soccer field, swan boats, a slide, biking, beach ball, as well as some card games. Many of us spent the first half of our time in the pool during which the group collectively played beach volleyball in the water, taught each other how to swim, and overall relaxed in the cool water. The group who didn’t end up going in the water were talking amongst each other or playing card games like BS, Uno, and Liars Uno. After the first half we took a break to eat some chicken fingers with fries alongside some tarter sauce. From there when the second half began is when the group separated from people who wanted to go on the swan boat, who wanted to bike, or be on the soccer field. At the swan boats people got in groups of 4 in which we got to pedal through a small pond of water in which Glimpsers even got to shockingly combine 2 swan boats and make it a unified swan boat of 8. We scared off the Global Glimpse adult boat as we chased after them. The group on the bike, on the other hand, enjoyed a cruise around the resort in which only really one Glimpsers pedaled while the others relied on their support. We overall got to communicate really well with our group even after we came back as one as we told our experiences to each other and how fun it was. On the bus ride home everyone was tired coming back after a long day, yet we still had the opportunity to go out so some of the Glimpsers took this chance to get some souvenirs for back home.

Overall this day was insightful and exciting as we learned that having communication between each other as a group really helps us grow closer and understand one another as people. We, the LDDs, are proud that we got to this point in time, unlike the first day where we were nervous to talk to each other and it was difficult to interact indivually. Yet we can now openly express how we feel and take care of each other. Being LDD today was pretty easy and quick because we had each other, yet of course we made sure to be there for the entire group

I, Alexies, learned today that communication is always key when wanting to have fun in a group. Even if you’re still nervous to talk to people or don’t know how to talk to certain people, sometimes it’s better to have no regrets, meaning that even if I felt a bit uncomfortable, the group can always reassure me through their approving responses.

I, Nya, learned that including others and making sure everyone feels seen should be a priority. I stepped out of my comfort zone and talked to GGLS about everyone being included during the swan boat ride because I want to make it a goal to make sure everyone has an enjoyable experience!

Now onto the pictures!
