Day 10: Closing reflection Day

Today, we started our day with breakfast, consisting of fried dough, pancakes, chicken sausages, pineapple, cheese, and pineapple lemonade to drink. Afterwards, we went to Playa Uverito. There we spent time together playing volleyball, collecting seashells, and swimming at the beach and pool. After we had a yummy lunch with chicken tenders, roasted chicken, salad, french fries, platains, pasta, fish, and orange juice. We continued to play at the pool, playing marco-polo, doing handstands and flips, and burying each other in the sand. We also saw live animals such as crabs and butterflies. Many of us were exhausted and got tanned by the sun. We later left back to our hotel where we had showered and rested. For dinner, we had rice, fish, platains, salad, and lemonade. We then finished our letters of appreciation. Finally, our nightly meeting consisted of summarizing the fun day we had and passing on the torches to the next Liders Del Dia.
The closer we get to the conclusion of our trip is bittersweet yet, very exciting. We made so many memories and had so many laughs with each other. It’s hard to think about how we started this trip and that it’s already ending in less than 48 hours. Sometimes it feels like the first day was yesterday. Throughout this trip, we’ve created so many bonds with each other that are unforgettable. When thinking back to our question of the day “How can we use our precious time to create memories of joy and belonging”, after today, the answer is quite clear. To create precious memories of joy and belonging, spending time with each other, whether it’s a fun beach day, or something simple like a conversation or meal, is how we can use our time to create long-lasting bonds.

Wow – Nine days/nights have certainly gone by quickly! What amazing experiences Global Glimpse through André, Tess, Kim and the others have given you! Big thanks to everyone for making this happen and providing memories which will last a lifetime.

We hope your trip was an unforgettable experience… Traveling is one of the most important things a person can do and beginning young is important because the world is a big beautiful place and once you start there’s just no stopping…
Real wealth is in the accumulation of experience not in things… The accumulation of things come and go… and things can be taken from you… but experience can’t be taken from you…
