Welcome back to our Youtube channel: I mean, blog. It’s you LDD’s Emily and Celia, here to give you the inside scoop of our last friday night in Panama. While everyone in the U.S. was celebrating the 4th of July, we were celebrating our own Global Glimspe holiday of fun day!
We woke up bright and early this morning. It was a hectic one, but we made just in time to eat some breakfast. We ate salchichas, pastelitos, empanadas de queso, rice water and pineapple juice, and fruit. We then scurried around trying to get all our stuff ready to head out to Playa Uvrito. As we arrived, the lifeguards, Martin and Jose, explained the rules of the swimming pool and beach. After that, we all unpacked and most went straight for the beach. The water was warm and refreshing to be in, along with the light breeze to cool us off and help us relax, despite the Panamanian sun. There was intense games of volleyball and soccer being played, as the rest played mermaids in the ocean.
After a while, we all gathered by the swimming pool to play games and bond. Ouick shootout to Javi for giving swimming lessons to Diana, Brandon, and A. He only had one successful client, and went unpaid. The rest of the group spent the time laughing, swimming, and snacking. As rain started to trickle in, it was time for lunch. There was a mix of chicken tenders, roasted chicken, and fish, along with sides of either patacones (fried plaintains) and fries. After lunch came with multiple photoshoots. Once the rain went away, it was time to head straight back into the ocean. The day was so nice, we ended up staying a whole hour longer than orginally planned. A group walked down the beach, some continued their soccer games, and others collected seashells.

Our the time on the beach was amazing. It was a celebration of our hardwork and dedication during the entirity of the CAP project. Everything we did truly payed off. It also was a reminder of the beautiful bonds we all made during this trip.
As we left Playa Uvrito and arrived back at the Hotel, we of course had to give a very special thank you and goodbye Efrain, our bus driver who drove us safely through the whole trip. Of course, with fun day came a bunch of free timeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! (Hopefully everyone showered before going out) Most of the guys went on their daily Dairy Queen run, and the rest flew to Super 99 and Top Outlet. Everyone went home with an amazing buy today (a special shoutout to the find of the century: a $75 board game for only $13, but it’s a gift so no spoilers for who got the deal).

Also, Justice for Lina, whose roomates left her at least 3 times today. Suprised she’s still talking to them.
As people started flying back to the hotel, we had an amazing American-style dinner. Hamburgers and fries, with a ketchup heart drawn by the amazing kitchen staff. Trust, we will miss them as we leave this hotel tomorrow.
But wait, our day didn’t end at the nightly meeting as usual, or with the GOAT Mauricio’s 1 minute Spanish lesson. Zon’t play with us, we ain’t boring. We stayed up singing karaoke. Honorable mentions being songs sung by hotel staff Ashley, the boys with their Sofia the First theme song, Let it Go, the entire delegation singing California girls, and finally ending with our theme song: Complicated.
That’s all for today. Be sure to like and subscribe to this blog to see our awesome adventure tomorrow where we all cry. *NOT CLICKBAIT* *EMOTIONAL*
