Day 10 – Final Reflection

Whats Up! Our names are KJ and Milan, we were today’s Leader Of The Day. First off, wake up time was at 7am, following breakfast at 8am. We ate pancakes and had a fruit bowl with granola and had tea and coffee. Then we walked towards the bus that would be driving us to the waterfall, usually we have to hike up the hill from our base house to the main road to get picked up, however, we got to savour the sweet luxury of rest. While we road up the hill towards the waterfall, the drive was bumpy but thankfully we survived.
WE FINALLY ARRIVED! Or so we thought…. Little did we know, a dreadful hike would soon use up the little luxury of rest we previously had. There was bamboo sticks to help assist with the hike. Our journey toward the waterfall has begun. Filled with slips and trips, plus dealing with the humidity, we all eventually made it to the freezing part. Stepping into that cold water, we all missed the humidity, as it provided the little heat we all desired. Capturing the moments with photos, laughter, and memories, our time was now up and we would have to face the dreadful hike once more. This time, our PC Memo showed us all the creatures in the forest, making the hike more enjoyable and educational. Once we finally made it out the hike, we all changed into dry clothes and sat in a restaurant to prepare for our second luxury of the day. FOOD!!! Things like rice and beans, chicken, tacos, plantains, salads, and a glimpse of America with FRENCH FRIES, (even though the come from france but whatever).
Once we got back to the base house we had about an hour in a half to get ready for our guest speaker, Andres “Fofo” Zuniga, once he got here we learned about Enviornmental justice in a fun way were we finished with a mini debate on 5 star hotel being built on biodiversic land or supporting the local economy. To end off the day we will be have our typical nighty meeting followed by a Movie night.

What an amazing adventure! I am jealous😘Waterfall looks beautiful! After so much hiking the low-impact exercise, like a brisk walk, swimming or schroth exercise would help with recovery. Thank you for sharing beautiful pictures!!!

hi my starling neons,
we miss our stinkerbutt so much and have been sleeping with the body pillow you got us every night… we are so glad our jungle explorer got home safe and sound, like a true waterfall queen. now remember not to push yourself too hard when working, since the doctor said it might hurt the baby during the first trimester. you also shouldn’t forget to put deodorant on since your favorite celebrity crush, clavicular, has stopped pheromone maxxing and posted a new video (you will love it). finally, i don’t know if you are personally reading this message but if you are not i just want to let you know that there is not a single capital letter in this message, so you can think about that all night.
