First full day in jarabacoa!!!!

Hi! Global Glimpse Family

Today was a busy and exciting day. We attended several seminars, explored the city on a guided tour, enjoyed some delicious ice cream, and ended the day with a traditional Dominican meal. Throughout the day, we had many opportunities to get to know one another better and begin building connections as a group.

One of the highlights of the day was our visit to the local fire department. There, we learned about the important role firefighters play in the community, the challenges they face, and the training and equipment they use to keep people safe. It was a fascinating experience that gave us a greater appreciation for their dedication and service.

Overall, it was a fun and educational day filled with new experiences, great food, and meaningful conversations. We are looking forward to everything that the coming days have in store!

Hi Willow! How’s the ice cream in the DR? Did you get to ride in the fire truck?

I hope you’re having a great time! Look forward to seeing the next post!

Hello from Oakland, CA. So…what was the traditional Dominican meal you all had? We look forward to hearing about it, and better yet would like to taste some. Will you get a cooking lesson or be able to bring home some recipes?
