FINAL Reflection

Today, Nayeli and Wyatt were the leaders for final reflection day. Today was a full of emotions as we created maps of our journeys from nomination to today, picking the 5 moments that were the most meaningful. We had tears of joy and sadness when it came to sharing the things that impacted us that we never expected throughout this trip. We also had an activity called tap the shoulder. In this activity we created an outfacing outside circle and kept 1/3 of our group inside the circle; the people who were inside the circle had to listen to a few prompts, and after they heard the prompt they had to tap people’s shoulders who they thought the prompt suited the most. It was a powerful and healing activity as it helped us see how others saw us.

After a quick break, we had another activity called Start-Stop-and-Continue. For this activity we had to write positive things that we wanted to start doing, stop doing, and continue doing. After we were done writing on the three posters, we had to take 3 things from what other people had written down that we felt touched us the most. We ended by sharing our big love to everyone individually and also sharing big love towards the whole group. For our Unity Clap, we chose the word “Family”.

After the lunch, we checked out with our luggage and then boarded on the coach. It took about 4 hours to go to la Ciudad de Panama, so we felt really sleepy at first. At the halfway, we stopped at a gas station and bought some snacks to share with each other. After we have recharged, it was the time to celebrate our friendship (to leave more joy in Panama!). MUSIC ON (with Noemi as our deejay). LIGHT READY (and Wyatt with the light show). We sang the all the way, we got crazy all the way, we felt the unity all the way. With smiles on our faces, we finally arrived at the hotel, OJOS DEL RIO, the place where our story began. After the room check-ins, we enjoyed the last dinner of our trip. We also started our final Nightly Meeting here, with everyone showing love and gratitude one last time. At the Talent Show, it was our GG Leaders turn and it looked like Jennifer did not realize she was going to have to do something. Ian started it off and decided not to dance again but sing instead. He said we could all sing along, if we knew it. As he began to sing Happy Birthday, Ariel brought out a birthday cake to Jennifer, and we were celebrating her birthday together. She was very surprised and it was a wonderful way to end our journey.
