¡DIA Quatro!- Community Day Leaders: AGATHA, HARMONY, AND JAYDEN!

Hola Familia and friends! It’s Agatha, one of your global glimpse leaders of the day for community day! Today has been my favorite day so far. I feel like I really was able to immerse myself with a Panamanian family today. We started the day off with some breakfast – we had toast and some sausages along with fresh juice. Then we split into different groups to travel to El Espinal community. I was with Olivia, Kauan, Louis and Hannah. We spent time with Anita, who taught us how to make some delicious chorizo, empandas, and carimanola (fried yuca filled with ground beef). We cooked, laughed, and shared such amazing conversations with the family. They told us to come back someday, and I personally would love to. Their home was beautiful and welcoming. It made me miss my family and friends in the USA and in Ecuador. Their hospitality was very heartwarming. After we ate the food, we took may photos in front of their corn maze which was HUGE! Then we headed over to meet the rest of the group and we had lunch with all the families, although I didn’t eat much since I was still stuffed from the empanadas, yuca and sausage. We had chicken stew, lentils and salad. Then we did a city tour of Las Tablas. It was very sunny out which was nice since it has been just humid and cloudy. We then came back to the hotel, cleaned off and we were able to learn about our upcoming Community Action Project (CAP). It is very exciting, stay tunned! We then had our second call home, which was very emotional for a lot of us. I miss all my family and friends so much. I can’t wait to get back and tell you guys all about it and just hang out. I miss NYC but I am doing well here, everyone is great and kind. We spent the end of the day with a fun talent show and bonding with the whole group. Overall, today we really were a family. Shoutouts to my parents, sister, and all my very special friends. I love you guys! See you soon. 🙂 <3 – With love, warmth, and care- Aggie singing out.

Hello, it’s Jayden. Today we visited Nelson, a local cow farmer. We got to learn what it takes to run a cow farm.

Hey family its Harmony, I was the leader del Dia today, it was so nice experiencing panamás local community in Espinal. We divided into 4 groups and spent time with different local Panamanian families. The Family I spent time with was Nini and his wife. They had such a beautiful farm with variety of different animals such as chickens, turkeys, pigs, cows, goats, an adorable baby monkey and so much more. We have so many nice photos and videos of the beautiful things we were surrounded by. They welcomed us with such open arms – touring us around, letting us feed the animals, baith them and so much more. I was in a group with Patricia, Giovany, Cheikh, Maro, and Desmond everyone was so excited to experience the daily life for the local family. After our farm tour, we had an amazing dinner all together that was prepared by Nilka. Eating her food today brought me back to my home and how we make things (shout out to mom and dad). All of us Glimpsers were very appreciative for everything. We’re all so grateful to have the opportunity to see another country’s way of living. After our long day, we came back cooled down, and we were able to take a tour of Panama’s famous landmarks such as the government building, Panama’s church and town square. These were all beautiful places to see. At the end of the day, we all bonded and got to know each other and share our appreciation for the day we spent together. I would love to end off by saying to all my family and friends I miss you guys so much and love you guys. I can’t wait to share all the fun experiences I’ve shared in Panama

By the way Mexico lost to England last night but it was a good game Mexico almost made the comeback and they were playing really good and making alot of promising chances but England defense and goalie were too good. So Mexico lost 2-3. It’s ok thoo they had a good runnn Ecuador still betterrr. I would like to share more with you but I’m saving it for when you come back so I can properly communicate with youu.
