DIa de familia (Family day)

We (children) woke up at 6 to start getting ready for the big day of visiting families. Jade and Nani went around to knock on doors and start waking people up. Once everyone was up, Kim and Adrian introduced the breakfast for today which was eggs, cheese, and gallo pinto which is rice and beans. We also had coffee and tea to drink, once everyone was done eating, we packed our small bags and began our journey up the big mountain to get to our families. Before that we stopped at a convenience store to buy masa (corn flour), oil and cheese for the families to make tortillas and empanadas. We separated into four groups and went to our families and had a great time connecting with the families and playing games with them.

We were all very full and almost skipped dinner but we made the treck back to the house and had some free time until dinner. Kim and Adrian presented dinner which was spaghetti with meat sauce and a blackberry/watermelon juice. Then we had our nightly meeting where we debriefed then shortly after passed our leadership to Lily and David. Then we gave shoutouts to people who we appreciated throughout the day and then went over the itentinary for tommorow. Then we hungout until bedtime playing games. Love you parents/guardians, see you soon!!

Big Love from Nani, Kim, Adrian, and Jade
